An Interview with our multi-talented author Rachael Alfonoso. She has seamlessly merged two of her passion- cars, and writing, into one beautiful piece of work.

Rachael, is gifted to say the least. What she has already accomplished at the age of 24, some of us do not accomplish in a lifetime. Going through her interview, I was waiting for the part, were she’d reveal, she has supernatural powers as well. Read on to know about her journey as an incredible author.

Author’s Introduction.

My name is Rachael Alfonso, I am 24 years old and I have been a bit of a writer ever since I was in middle school, writing stories for fun. As I grew up, I couple my passion of writing with my passion for cars and thus: What Cars Say was born!

Are you a full-time Writer/Author?

I am not, this is my first published work, but I have always enjoyed writing since I was a child.

How did it occur to you to get into writing?

I work with cars full time in my career, and while I am super passionate about cars, if there is one thing I love more than cars, it is children. So in my community we do a lot of car shows and events and parents love to bring their kids along with them for nostalgic reasons or to teach them about cars, and I knew that by writing this book I would make learning about cars not only fun for kids, but it would also be an incredible experience for the parent to reminisce about their past cars as well, while working with their child on this fun activity.

This is an audio-visual book written to teach kids and remind parents about one of the most exciting eras in automotive history.

Do you have a favorite character in your book , if yes who and why?

No favorite character, but I do have a favorite car that is featured!

Tell us a little bit about your process of writing. How do you go about it? How much time do you invest in writing? What inspires you while creating your work?

It took me nearly a year to get all of the writing completed and another six months or so for the physical creation of the product. I wanted to make all my writing rhyme so that way the reading experience could be a fun one for readers both young and old. I chose the specific makes of cars that I did because they are perhaps some of the most notable cars in the industry and ones you will see everyday, mixed with some that maybe only have 300 models in existence across the globe.

What is the most ‘gonzo’ idea you have adapted to market your book?

I am lucky enough to have a niche community of car people in my life, and they have helped me online market a lot due to COVID-19 preventing us from doing in person events like we originally wanted to do. But we must adapt!

Any message for the readers?

Read everything you can. Knowledge is power. Reading is not nerdy, it is one of the most incredible things you can do in your free time. Learn all you can from every flick of the page or click of the mouse, because no one can take away your knowledge. The more you know, the better.

Any Message for Motivational Marvels website/page.

We get one life. One. There is no reset button, there is no cheat code, and there is no “checkpoint” where if we fail we can go back from and begin again. Everything we do here on this Earth may seem small but it ripples into eternity forever. Being an author, creating life to words and putting them out there for the world to read is a HUGE deal. Whether it is an e-book on how to fix computer monitors, or the next Harry Potter series, your words matter. So get them out of your head, put them down on paper, and leave your mark in time because that is the only certainty that we have, that time will not cease.

For the love of Cars and Writing.
